GAP Insurance

Insurance settlements don't always cover your loss. How do you know if your vehicle is adequately protected by your primary insurance carrier? Ask your self the following questions:

  • After I drive off the auto dealer's lot, will I owe more on my vehicle than it's worth? (Vehicles depreciate by thousands of dollars after purchasing.)
  • Will I put less than 20% down on the purchase of my vehicle?

Answering "yes" to either question mean your vehicle may not be completely protected. You could be responsible for paying the difference between your primary insurance settlement (vehicle's actual cash value) and your loan balancing in the event your vehicle is stolen, accidentally damaged beyond repair, or declared a total loss. This could add up to thousands of dollars out of your pocket. You'll pay on a vehicle you no longer drive, plus you still have to purchase a new vehicle.

GAP Insurance helps ease your financial burden by paying the potentially high-cost difference between your insurance settlement and your loan balance on items directly related to the purchase of your vehicle.

Check out if GAP Insurance is good for you by using our GAP Insurance calculator.

ACH/Direct Deposit

With direct deposit, you authorize your employer or any agency, like the Social Security Administration, to deposit your check directly into your account so you can count on access to funds without visiting the credit union. Instead of a check, you receive a paper record of the transaction. Employers, for example, provide an earnings statement on payday showing net deposit and how much was withheld for taxes, company savings plans, or any other withheld amounts.

Both State and Federal tax refunds can be direct deposited to accounts of both electronic and non-electronic tax filers.

No matter where your check’s coming from, direct deposit takes the worry out of:

Stolen or misplaced checks
The Treasury Department reports that more than a million mailed Social Security and government pension checks are lost, stolen, or late every year. And, more than four million paychecks are lost or stolen each year.
Delayed deposits
Your funds are deposited regularly, and on time. You get paid even if you're not at work on payday, or can’t make it in during business hours.
Losing potential dividends
With timeliness of direct deposit you earn dividends on funds as soon as possible. Save time and money. Avoid making a trip to the credit union to make your deposit by using direct deposit while saving gas and time in your busy schedule.

Payroll Deduction

Automatic transfer of part of your net check is a great way to start saving, pay on your loans, and automatically deposited in your checking account without any hassle to you.

Wire Transfers

In a matter of hours money can be wired to any part of the world for whatever your needs may be.

Money Orders

Money Orders are a safe, convenient, and economical way to make payments while holding proof to assure proper credit. Money Orders are available up to $1,000 each.

When you press "credit" at the keypad and sign for your purchases, you're protected by multiple layers of security, including the Zero Liability Policy*, so you won't have to pay for unauthorized transactions; replacement funds, so any funds taken from your account due to fraudulent use will be returned; and continuous fraud monitoring for suspicious activity.

It's easy to track your spending.
When you use your Wisconsin Medical Credit Union Debit Card, you still receive a sales receipt, the amount is deducted directly from your checking account, and your transaction appears on your monthly statement for easy record keeping, so it's easy to see where you've been and what you've bought.

So if you don't already have one, order your Wisconsin Medical Credit Union Debit Card today and enjoy the convenience, safety, and purchasing power of Visa.

*Visa's Zero Liability Policy covers U.S.-issued cards only and does not apply to ATM transactions, PIN Transactions not processed by Visa, or certain commercial card transactions.
